Patti Sparlin was born in Duncan, Oklahoma and has two brothers and three sisters. She graduated from Bray High School in 1976 and attended East Central University for 2.5 years. Patti worked for Garvin, Bonney, Weaver & Corley law firm in Duncan for 10 years as legal assistant before going to work for the United States Postal Service in 1988. She started as a city letter carrier. After two years she was promoted to delivery supervisor in Ardmore. In February, 1993, Patti became the postmaster of the Madill Post Office where she worked until her retirement on June 30, 2016. While working at the Madill Post Office, she met and married Butch Sparlin and they have been married since April of 1994 and reside in Madill.
Patti’s hobbies include baking, cooking, gardening, trout fishing and traveling. Patti is an active member of the First Baptist Church in Madill. She serves on the board of directors for the Madill Housing Authority. She served as president of the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce for two consecutive years. She is active with the Santa’s Elves, an organization that helps with food baskets during the Christmas season. Patti is also an administrator in the Hope for Marshall County group. Hope for Marshall County helps with food, clothing and other items for the needy people in Marshall County.
